Paramount has compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions regarding our industry standards and what is or isn’t included in a property inspection. We are here for you should you have any further questions regarding industry standards or our services.

Paramount is equipped with the latest and greatest FLIR Thermal Imaging and moisture detection equipment. FLIR Thermal Imaging and moisture detection equipment is used as diagnostic tools on all inspections.

Paramount is equipped with the leading DJI drone technology. Drone technology is used when roof surfaces are unsafe to access (snow cover, ice cover, frost cover, height, etc.).

Paramount utilizes the leading TPI and KLEIN detectors for carbon monoxide and natural gas/propane leak detection on all inspections. All natural gas/propane fueled appliances are tested for carbon monoxide and natural gas/propane leaks. All accessible pipes, joints, shut offs, and unions are tested for natural gas/propane leaks on all inspections

Paramount performs every inspection with 2 inspectors. Nathan and Jason (father – son and both owners of Paramount) will be on-site to perform your inspection. Nathan and Jason will go through all findings with you on-site and you will receive your detailed report via e-mail shortly after. Nathan and Jason are available 7 days a week to assist all clients

As per the Standards of Practice set out by Service Alberta and our industry regulatory bodies, sewer scopes and W.E.T.T. inspections are NOT with-in the scope of inspection. Property inspections must remain with-in the scope set out by Service Alberta and our industry regulatory bodies.

Sewer scopes and W.E.T.T. inspections should ONLY be performed by qualified professionals that specialize in each field. Paramount has you covered, refer to our extensive list of preferred trades on our website that includes numerous 3rd party contractors that specialize in a wide array of trades

As per the Standards of Practice set out by Service Alberta and our industry regulatory bodies, warranties and guarantees can not be provided. Property inspections must remain with-in the scope set out by Service Alberta and our industry regulatory bodies. Inspection of the systems and components of the home are “as-is” and “on the day of inspection”.

As per the Standards of Practice set out by Service Alberta and our industry regulatory bodies, mold/asbestos/air quality/radon testing is NOT with-in the scope of inspection.

Paramount inspections must remain with-in the scope set out by Service Alberta and our industry regulatory bodies.
Mold/Asbestos/Air quality/Radon testing should ONLY be performed by qualified professionals that specialize in each field. Even the best of builders may have sub-contractors who cut corners or make mistakes, despite City/County inspections, an independent “non-biased” 3rd party inspection will identify items including workmanship that lacks quality craftsmanship, incomplete items, improperly performed work, and damaged items which provides leverage for you as the consumer.
Identifying these items before possession allows the builder ample time to address and rectify these issues before possession and while under warranty.

Peace of mind is important for your large investment.
Pre 1 year warranty inspections are also available to identify deficiencies that may arise after taking possession of your newly constructed home. Paramount inspection reports are extremely thorough which is important when communicating with your builder.
